The short answer. Book paint protection film before you take delivery, and have the car come straight to the shop instead of going home first. For most Boca Raton drivers a full front package is the right starting point. Why day-one PPF matters in Boca Raton
The first few hundred miles are when a new car picks up damage it will carry for the rest of its life. The paint has never been touched, and the first rock chip is permanent. Film only protects what is still perfect underneath it, so a chip that happens on the drive home gets sealed in under the film rather than prevented.
South Florida stacks the odds against you. I-95 between Glades Road and Linton Boulevard is a steady stream of dump trucks and landscape trailers shedding gravel. The Turnpike is faster and throws debris harder. And a new car delivered in late August or September lands right in the second of Florida's two love bug seasons. UF/IFAS notes that love bug residue left on a car for several days turns more acidic as it breaks down and can etch the paint. Add UV that regularly sits in the EPA's very high to extreme range through the summer, and a daily driver in Boca ages faster than the same car in a northern garage.
None of that is a reason to panic. It is a reason to put the film on before the car's first commute rather than after its first chip.

Partial front, from $1,200
Front bumper, the leading edge of the hood and fenders, and the mirrors. This is the strike zone, the area that takes the majority of direct hits. The tradeoff is a visible line across the hood where the film stops, which some owners never notice and others cannot unsee.
Full front, from $1,795
Full hood, full fenders, front bumper, mirrors, and headlights. No line across the hood, and the headlights are covered, which matters on modern cars where a single headlight assembly can be an expensive replacement. This is our most popular package and the one we recommend to most new-car buyers in Boca.
Track package, from $2,500
Everything in full front, plus the rocker panels, the A-pillars, and the leading edge of the roof. Rockers take sandblasting from your own front tires, and A-pillars and the roof edge catch debris coming over the hood at highway speed. This is the package for cars that see real miles on I-95 and the Turnpike.
Full body, from $4,995
Every painted surface. It is the right call for exotics, for dark colors that show every mark, and for anyone who wants the whole car protected from door dings, shopping carts, and parking garage scuffs as well as road debris.
Which film to choose
Every package can be done in one of XPEL's paint protection films. All of them are self-healing, which means the topcoat is an elastomeric polymer that reflows with heat, so light swirls and wash marks disappear in the sun or under warm water.
Ultimate Fusion is priced at a slight premium over Ultimate Plus. Stealth is priced similarly to Ultimate Plus.
- XPEL Ultimate Plus (listed on our site as Ultimate Premium). High-gloss, stain-resistant, and 8 mil thick, which is roughly twice the thickness of a business card. XPEL backs it with a 10-year warranty against yellowing, cracking, blistering, and delaminating.
- XPEL Ultimate Fusion. The same protection with a hydrophobic topcoat built in, so water beads and grime rinses off without a separate coating on the filmed panels. It carries the same 10-year warranty plus 4 years of coverage against gloss loss and fading, and XPEL requires an annual inspection by a certified installer to keep that warranty active.
- XPEL Stealth. A satin-matte film. It protects factory matte paint, which cannot be polished or spot-repaired, or turns gloss paint satin. Same 10-year XPEL warranty.
How to choose the right package for your car
Daily-driven Tesla Model 3 or Model Y
Full front at minimum. If the commute runs I-95 every day, the track package earns its keep, because the rockers on these cars sit right in the spray from the front tires. Our Tesla paint protection page covers model-specific coverage.
Weekend Porsche, AMG, or exotic kept mostly in the garage
Mileage is low, but the miles it does see are often fast. Full front or track package, and full body if it is a car you plan to keep or a color that shows everything. Garage-kept cars also hold their film looking new the longest.
36-month lease
Partial or full front. The goal is protecting the front end from chips that show up on the lease-return inspection. Anything more than full front rarely pays back over three years.
A car you plan to keep eight years or more
Full front at a minimum, full body if the budget allows. Film on a keeper car is protecting the original factory paint, and original paint matters at resale.
What to add to PPF, and what to skip
- Ceramic coating on the panels without film. Film takes the impacts, coating takes the chemistry. XPEL Fusion Plus ceramic on the unfilmed panels makes love bug residue, salt, and water spots release faster. Our ceramic packages start at $800. If you choose Ultimate Fusion film, the filmed panels already have the hydrophobic layer built in.
- Ceramic window tint. A Boca car sits in the sun for most of the year. We install XPEL Prime XR Plus, a nano-ceramic film, with tint from $250, and we keep every shade within Florida's legal limits.

- What you can usually skip: heavy paint correction. A brand-new car rarely needs multi-step correction. It does need a careful inspection, because new cars do arrive with transport marks and swirls from a dealer wash. Anything we find gets addressed before the film goes on, since film locks in whatever is underneath it.
Timing: book the shop before you take delivery
Call us once you have a delivery date. That lets us hold a bay and plan the pattern for your exact year, make, and trim from XPEL's Design Access Program before the car arrives.
Then ask the dealer to skip the delivery wash. Dealer prep washes are one of the most common sources of fine swirl marks on brand-new paint. Drive the car from the dealership to our shop at 4701 N Dixie Hwy, and let us do the decontamination and prep as part of the install.
The difference shows. A car that comes to us on day one gets film over flawless paint. A car that comes to us at 90 days usually has a few chips on the bumper and hood already. We can still protect it, but those chips stay under the film.
Dealer PPF versus an aftermarket install
Many dealers offer a protection package at signing. Some are good. The trouble is that the paperwork often does not tell you what you are buying. Before you say yes to a dealer add-on, ask three things: which film brand and product line, exactly which panels are covered, and who installs it.
Our take: the installer matters more than the brand. A top-tier film installed with every edge trimmed flat on the panel will be lifting in a few Florida summers. The same film with edges wrapped wherever the panel allows will still be invisible years later. That is why we use precision-cut XPEL patterns, wrap edges wherever the panel allows, and keep blades off your paint.
On warranty: XPEL registers the warranty to your VIN, and the installation is reported to your CARFAX vehicle history report. XPEL's warranty is transferable to a new owner who can show proof of the original installation date, so keep the paperwork with the car. And adding film does not void your factory warranty. Under federal warranty law, the FTC explains that a manufacturer cannot void a warranty or deny coverage solely because you had someone else do work on the car. It can deny coverage only for damage that the outside work actually caused.

Frequently asked questions
How soon after taking delivery should I get PPF installed?
Ideally the same day. Drive from the dealership to the shop, skip the dealer wash, and let the car go into the bay with its factory paint untouched. Every mile before the install is a mile of unprotected paint, and any chip that happens first gets sealed under the film.
Does new car PPF void my manufacturer warranty?
No. The FTC explains that a manufacturer cannot void a warranty or deny coverage solely because someone other than the dealer did work on the car. Quality film is designed to be removed without harming factory paint when it is removed properly.
Can I add PPF to a car with an existing dealer sealant?
Usually yes, but the sealant has to come off the panels being filmed so the adhesive bonds to clean paint. That removal is part of our prep. Let us know what the dealer applied so we can plan for it.
What is the difference between XPEL Ultimate Plus and Ultimate Fusion?

Will PPF change the color or gloss of my paint?
Gloss films like Ultimate Plus and Ultimate Fusion are designed to be virtually invisible on factory paint. Stealth intentionally changes the finish to satin. That is the point of that film.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell the car?
XPEL's warranty is transferable when the new owner can provide proof of the original installation date. Keep your warranty card and receipt with the car's records.
