The short answer. Full body XPEL Ultimate Plus paint protection film is the most complete protection you can put on a car. At Auto SuperShield, full body starts at $4,995 as posted on our service page, with smaller, simpler cars at the low end and big or complex cars climbing from there. It covers every painted panel, and XPEL backs the film with a ten-year warranty.
Whether it is worth it depends on the car, how long you keep it, and how much of its life it spends on I-95. This guide covers what the money pays for, what "full body" really includes, and the honest cases where a smaller package makes more sense. If you want every coverage option side by side first, start with our paint protection film page.
Full body PPF in Boca Raton, at a glance
- Starting price: $4,995 for full body at Auto SuperShield, as posted on our service page.
- Coverage: every painted exterior panel.
- Shop time: commonly several days to a week on a mid-size car.
- Warranty: ten years from XPEL against yellowing, cracking, blistering, and delaminating.
- First wash: XPEL says wait 48 hours after installation.
What "full body" actually means (and what it does not)
Full body means film on every painted exterior surface: hood, front and rear bumpers, fenders, doors, quarter panels, roof, trunk or liftgate, mirrors, rocker panels, and A-pillars.
What is usually not included by default:
Headlights vary by shop. Our full front package includes them, so ask whether a full body quote does too. The roof matters more than people expect. A panoramic glass roof means less film. A large painted roof on an SUV means more. On a Cybertruck, the stainless body changes the conversation entirely. See our Cybertruck protection packages for that one.
- Door jambs and the engine bay.
- Taillights and painted wheels.
- Interior trim and piano-black plastics.
- Glass. Windshield film is a separate product.
The 2026 Boca Raton price range
Our posted starting price for full body film is $4,995. Your quote moves up from there based on vehicle size, panel complexity, prep condition, and which film you choose. Exotics, heavily modified cars, and repainted panels sit at the higher end.
Full body XPEL Ultimate Plus: from $4,995
This is XPEL's high-gloss, self-healing clear film, 8 mil thick, about twice the thickness of a business card. On our site it is listed as Ultimate Premium. It is the default choice for keeping factory paint looking factory.
Full body XPEL Stealth: priced above gloss film
XPEL Stealth turns gloss paint satin, or protects factory matte paint. Across the market it typically runs about 15 to 20 percent above gloss film for the same coverage.
Full body XPEL Ultimate Fusion: a slight premium over Ultimate Plus
XPEL Ultimate Fusion is the gloss film with a hydrophobic topcoat built in, so water beads off without a separate ceramic coating. We price it at a slight premium over Ultimate Plus. Across the market that premium typically runs around 10 percent.
Other brands
Suntek Ultra and 3M Scotchgard Pro Series are credible films that typically land in a similar range. We install XPEL, so that is what we quote. Our XPEL vs Suntek vs 3M comparison covers the differences.
Where the range comes from
Vehicle size
A Tesla Model 3 has far less painted surface than a Model X or a Cadillac Escalade. More square feet means more film and more hours.
Panel complexity
The curved rear fenders on a Porsche 911, the sharp creases on a Mercedes G-Class, and one-piece wraparound bumpers all take longer to lay film on without stretch marks or lift points.
Film waste
Compound curves eat film. A pattern for a flat door uses most of the sheet. A pattern for a deeply sculpted bumper leaves a lot of trimmed film on the floor, and that film is still paid for.
Prep condition
Film locks in whatever is under it. New paint usually needs a decontamination and a light polish. Paint with swirls or haze needs correction first, sometimes a multi-stage correction, and that is billed as its own line.
Add-ons that quietly stack the invoice
Headlights and taillights, brake caliper coating, chrome delete, and a ceramic coating on the wheels and glass are all common add-ons. Each one is reasonable. Together they can move a quote by four figures.
What a fair full body quote sheet should list
If a quote says "full body PPF" with one number and nothing else, ask for the breakdown.
- Film brand, product name, and finish, in writing.
- The warranty length and who registers it.
- Exactly which panels are covered, including roof, A-pillars, and headlights.
- Prep work, listed separately: wash, decontamination, and any paint correction.
- Whether edges are wrapped and whether any trim, badges, or lights come off for install.
- Pattern-cut or bulk-installed panels. Bulk installs allow wider wrapped edges for a cleaner look but take more labor.
- Estimated days in the shop and the aftercare plan.
How long a full body install actually takes
Plan on the car being with the installer for several days, commonly up to a week on a mid-size car. Prep is a full day on its own if the paint needs correction. Careful shops remove mirror caps, badges, door handles, and sometimes lights so film can be tucked behind them instead of cut around them. That adds time and makes the edges disappear.
After pickup, XPEL says to wait 48 hours before washing. Follow the aftercare card from your installer from there.
When full body is the right call
The obvious ones
Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini, a Porsche 911 GT3. A single repainted panel on these cars hurts resale and can be hard to color-match. Full body is standard practice.
The less obvious ones
Tesla owners with paint that chips easily, especially lighter colors that show every mark. A Model S Plaid or a Rivian R1S that will be kept for years. Our Tesla paint protection page covers model-specific coverage.
The Boca practical case
A daily driver on I-95, parked outside at work and on a paved driveway at home, that you plan to keep ten years or sell privately at a premium. That car collects chips on every panel, not only the front.
When full body is NOT the right call
Three-year lease
A partial or full front package usually protects you from the lease-return chip charges for a fraction of the cost.
Garage queen with low miles
A car that sees 2,000 miles a year on sunny Sundays rarely needs film on the roof and trunk. A track package covers the panels that actually take hits.
Short-term beach cruiser
If you plan to sell in two years, front and rockers handle the sand and salt spray from A1A.
Repainted panels
Aftermarket paint can be less stable under film adhesive. Get a paint meter reading first. If a panel has been resprayed, talk it through with the installer before committing.
Full body vs track package: the actual decision most Boca drivers face
Our track package covers full front plus rockers, A-pillars, and the leading edge of the roof, starting at $2,500 as posted. Full body adds the doors, quarter panels, rest of the roof, trunk, and rear bumper.
On most mid-size cars that difference lands somewhere in the low-to-mid four figures. Here is how we think about it:
For new deliveries, our new car PPF package guide walks through the same choice.
- Worth it if the car parks outside daily, you keep cars ten years, or you plan a private sale where unmarked original paint commands a premium.
- Not worth it if the car is garaged, lightly driven, or leaving your hands in three years.
Full body plus ceramic: the "belt and suspenders" package
Ultimate Fusion vs film plus a separate coating
Two ways to get film and hydrophobic protection together. One is XPEL Ultimate Fusion, where the hydrophobic topcoat is built into the film. The other is Ultimate Plus or Stealth film with an XPEL Fusion Plus ceramic coating applied over it. Fusion Plus is XPEL's ceramic coating. Ultimate Fusion is a film. They are different products.
Cost and gloss
On a full body car, Ultimate Fusion is usually the simpler and less expensive way to get beading on every panel. A separate Fusion Plus coating adds its own line to the invoice, and it can also cover wheels and glass, which Ultimate Fusion film does not.
Which is easier to maintain in Boca
Both bead water and release love bug residue and salt more easily than bare film. One thing to know: XPEL's Ultimate Fusion warranty requires an annual inspection by an XPEL-certified installer within 30 days of the installation anniversary. Most XPEL Fusion Plus coatings carry the same annual inspection requirement.
What Boca specifically changes about the math
- A1A salt aerosol. Salt settles on rocker panels and lower quarters first, exactly the panels a front-only package leaves bare.
- Love bug season. The May and September flights hit the front clip, mirrors, and leading edge of the roof hardest.
- I-95 and Federal Highway construction. Gravel and grit from the work zones through Boca and Delray chip lower doors and rear quarters, not just the hood.
- UV. Summer UV in South Florida sits in the EPA's very high to extreme range for months. Unprotected dark paint oxidizes and fades faster here than up north.
Financing and payment: how shops typically handle it
Many PPF shops ask for a deposit to hold an install slot, with the balance due at pickup. Deposits are often a meaningful share of the total on a full body job because the film is ordered and cut for your car. Some shops offer third-party financing. Ask how deposits, scheduling changes, and refunds work before you book. Call us at (561) 367-0101 and we will walk you through how we handle it.
XPEL warranty on full body: what you actually get
- Covered: ten years on Ultimate Plus, Stealth, and Ultimate Fusion against defects like yellowing, cracking, blistering, and delaminating, on professionally installed film. Ultimate Fusion adds four years against oxidation, loss of gloss, UV damage, and fading.
- Not covered: rock and road debris impacts, damage from automatic car washes or improper wash tools, harsh cleansers and solvents, water spots, collision damage, and non-XPEL ceramic coatings applied over the film.
- How to claim: start with the installing shop. We register your warranty to your VIN before the car leaves, and our installations are reported to the vehicle's CARFAX report.
Our take
Our take: full body PPF in Boca makes sense on three kinds of car. Exotics, no matter what. Teslas and other cars with easily chipped paint that the owner plans to keep five years or more. And any car that lives outside and puts in daily I-95 miles. Everyone else should look hard at the track package first, and spend the difference on a ceramic coating for the rest of the car.

Frequently asked questions
How long does full body PPF last in Florida?
XPEL warranties Ultimate Plus, Stealth, and Ultimate Fusion for ten years against defects like yellowing and cracking. With good washing habits, the film can look close to new for most of that time. Our guide on how long PPF lasts in Florida goes deeper.
Can you PPF a matte or satin factory paint?
Yes. XPEL Stealth is a satin film that protects matte paint without adding gloss.
Does full body PPF affect resale value?
It protects the thing buyers check: original, unchipped paint. XPEL installs at our shop are reported to the vehicle's CARFAX report, which gives the next owner a record.
Can you wrap headlights and taillights with PPF?
Yes. Headlights are part of our full front package. Taillights are usually an add-on. Ask for them on the quote.
Is full body PPF the same as a color change wrap?
No. Clear PPF is a thick, self-healing protective film. A traditional color change wrap is a thinner vinyl. XPEL also makes colored PPF, which changes the color and protects at the same time.
Does insurance cover PPF?
It depends on your policy. Some insurers treat it as part of the vehicle and others as aftermarket equipment. Ask your agent before you need to file a claim, and keep your invoice.
Can you remove full body PPF later?
Yes. XPEL recommends professional removal, typically with steam, so the adhesive comes off with the film.
Will PPF hide existing swirl marks?
No. Film is clear and locks in what is underneath. Swirls should be corrected before install.
Is the roof really necessary?
On a car that parks outside, yes. The roof takes the most UV and bird and love bug residue. On a garaged car, it is the first panel to drop from a full body quote.
Do you need to correct paint before full body PPF?
Only as much as the paint needs. New cars usually need decontamination and a light polish. Older paint may need a full correction, which we quote after inspecting the car.

About the prices in this guide
Every figure in this guide is a ballpark for planning, not a quote. Prices for our own work start where they start and move with the vehicle, its paint or glass condition, and how much coverage you choose. Costs quoted for third-party work such as glass replacement or ADAS recalibration are general market ranges gathered for context, and those shops set their own prices, not us.
All of it is subject to change. For a real number on your car, get in touch and we will look at it properly before quoting. Estimates are free and there is no obligation.
